On September 26, 2009, our country was hit by the tropical storm Ketsana (locally known as Bagyong Ondoy). We were not expecting an epic flash flood, in fact, we weren't expecting anything extreme that could have driven us to this condition. Yet, it happened. The Philippine Government has declared a STATE OF CALAMITY in over 20 places in Luzon. More than 70 people are now dead, 20+ are missing and an estimate of a hundred thousand are homeless. ^{Those missing people... some of those are people who my friends and I know.}

This is the first time I have ever experienced such a calamity in our country. Although, Bagyong Milenyo was a disaster itself, the impact of Ketsana has far exceeded four decades of any flooding calamities. Water reaching until one-storey houses' rooftops. Although my experience inside my house is nothing compared to those who were/are still waiting for rescuers at the top of their houses, it still added to my desire to let people see that this is what we reap with the things we have done. We have to prevent this rather than thinking of what we can do after the danger has passed.

I'm not able to personally offer any help to the people who are suffering from Ketsana or in general, so all I do is just pray and try my best to let other people realize that there are those who really need our help. May it be little or not. So please, if you can (and I know you have the ability to) please pray for our fellow countrymen.


I wish to see people happy, and I'm sure that whoever is reading this wishes for that too... even if it's a bit of happiness, I wish I can offer that to the people around me. So, pray with me and let's do something about it.

This is going to be my last journal as a sixteen-year old.

I love my sixteenth year. It was definitely full of surprises, both good and bad, but still welcomed. I faced a lot of difficulties, especially with friends of the past, along with love. For a month or so, I was horribly depressed, but I still held my head high. I know myself more than anybody in this planet would ever do, so I didn't let snide remarks about my personality or any false actions get to me. I was able to achieve one of my goals this year... to become a scholar. I'm able to help my family somehow with this, and I'm truly happy.

I thank God for everything He has blessed me with; for keeping me safe in his arms; for loving me as I am; most especially, for being there.

I wish that this year will be even more fruitful, and that I'll be able to help more people, make them smile, and become a better person.

Thank you to all my friends, watchers, acquaintances, teachers and everybody out there who I met...

I’ve finally hit that stage. You know, the stage of teenage self-criticism, i.e. “I’m not beautiful.”, “I look like crap.”, “My eyes are too small.”, “My face looks out of proportion.” Yeah, that stage. It’s driving me insane. Seriously. I just want to love the way I look, but it’s like there’s this other Diana saying that this isn’t enough.

So, I’m feeling like total crap at the moment. I’m developing such low self-esteem, that I’m being pushed to a wall full of makeover choices. But, I don’t want to! I mean… I feel the need to look beautiful, but I just want to be satisfied and happy with how I am.

It’s definitely driving me nuts; more so when I get to see beautiful girls out there in the magazines and television. There’s like an automatic response in my head telling me, “You look so ugly compared to her.”, or something along those lines. It feels like I'm so underdemiciated (for any of you who aren't familiar with the word, please do not search it up in the dictionary, for it was created by the adorable kids of BEDTIME STORIES, which means not appreciated) Argh! I love uniqueness, and I love myself because I am different, but there are times when I just…*groans in frustration*

Now, do you see why I titled this journal that way? @_@ Am I schizophrenic? Wahaha, okay, getting way over my head. Seriously. Am I? Or am I just going through a really really tough time in my teenage years?

BOTTOMLINE: I'm low on self-esteem.

I’m posting it here to vent out my frustrations. Sorry if I insulted or offended anyone with this, but that was never my purpose.

Anyway, I’ll try to control this persona inside me. :\ In the meantime, I’ll focus on my drawings and yeah~~ studies. College life sure is hectic. Haha.
